How it works: Mountain railways like Sunnegga, Gornergrat or Matterhorn Glacier Paradise take you comfortably to the starting point, then you continue on foot. Sturdy hiking boots, sun protection and a rain jacket belong in your bag even in summer, mountain weather can change fast. Mama is happy to help you choose a route at reception, matched to your fitness level.
Start early in the morning if you can, the light is magical and the trail is all yours. And after the last leg? Mama's terrace is waiting, with an aperitif and a view of the Matterhorn.
